Come as you are

A Halloween built for more children to say yes to.

Traditional Halloween events do not work for every child. This one is designed with sensory, communication, mobility and participation needs in mind, so children can join the fun in whatever way works best for them.

Go at your own pace. Take a break. Skip a station. Communicate your way.

What families can expect

More flexibility. Less pressure.

Every family can move through the event in the way that feels right for them.

Accessible trick-or-treat stations

Welcoming stations designed to support different bodies, communication styles and ways of participating.

Sensory supports and calm spaces

Step away, reset and return when ready. Taking a break is always part of the plan.

Activities for different abilities

Participate fully, try one thing or simply observe. There is no single right way to enjoy the event.

Costumes welcome, never required

Dress up, wear comfortable clothes or change your mind. Children are welcome exactly as they are.

Good to know

No performance required.

Children never have to say “trick or treat,” make eye contact, wear a costume or complete every activity. Spoken words, AAC, signs, gestures and quiet participation are all welcome.

  • Free family event
  • All ages welcome
  • Siblings and caregivers welcome
  • Advance registration required

Frequently asked questions

Before you arrive

Who is this event for?

This event is designed specifically with children and individuals with disabilities and different needs in mind. Creating a space that truly prioritizes accessibility, comfort, security, and enjoyment requires thoughtful planning and careful consideration.

Is there an age limit?

Nope! Everyone is welcome, no matter their age. While most of our participants tend to be between ages 2–16, we know many individuals with disabilities beyond that age range would also enjoy and benefit from participating!

We’d love to see more of our “older” community members join us for the fun!

Does my child have to wear a costume or say “trick or treat”?

No. Costumes are welcome but never required, and children may communicate with speech, AAC, signs, gestures—or simply participate quietly.

Do we have to visit every station?

No. Your family can go at its own pace, skip any station and leave whenever you are ready.

What if my child needs a break?

Sensory supports and calm spaces will be available. Families are welcome to pause and rejoin when ready.

Will non-food options be available?

Yes. Stations will include a variety of treats, trinkets and activities so children have more than one way to participate.

Do we need to register?

Yes. The event is free, but advance family registration is required so we can plan a comfortable, well-supported experience.
